Greylock Federal Credit Union has launched a new program to recruit Associate Members for its Board of Directors. The Associate Board Member Program aims to prepare future credit union leaders through exposure to board governance, strategic leadership and community impact.

As a member-owned financial cooperative, Greylock is committed to developing leaders who reflect the voices, needs and future of its communities. Individuals who are passionate about Greylock's mission and interested in learning more about board service are encouraged to apply.

"This program is where tomorrow's credit union leaders are shaped today - it empowers emerging voices to learn governance, inspire strategy, lead with purpose, and strengthen the credit union difference," said Peter Lopez, Chairperson, Greylock Board of Directors.

The program will include up to three Associate Board Members in accordance with established term limits. Selected participants will gain first-hand experience through board meeting observation, mentorship and educational opportunities. Prior board experience is not required.

"As a member-owned financial cooperative, strong stewardship by our volunteer Board is a powerful asset to Greylock," said John Bissell, President and CEO of Greylock. "The Associate Director program enables proven community leaders to gain skills and training on governance, financial oversight and strategic decision-making. This program is designed to help set future directors up for success, which directly contributes to Greylock's success."
