October 25, 2018 – Pittsfield, MA – Greylock Federal Credit Union has announced the hiring of Rhonda Serre as Corporate Communications Director. Serre joins the marketing team in a newly created position focusing on internal and external communications.

“We are pleased to have someone with Rhonda’s expertise join the team. Her public relations talent and dedication to community service will strengthen our partnerships in the Berkshires,” said Greylock President/CEO John L. Bissell. “We are excited to welcome her to the Greylock family.”

Serre has led communications efforts in private, government, and non-profit entities throughout the region since graduating from the College of Saint Rose in 1996. She comes to Greylock from Elder Services of Berkshire County where she managed all fundraising and marketing efforts for the agency.

“Rhonda joins us at the perfect time,” says Robert Maxwell, Vice President of Marketing Services. “She will help spread the word of Greylock’s commitment to improving members’ lives with the recent launch of our new logo and tag line ‘Opportunity Grows Here.’”

Serre is a long standing member of the Public Relations Society of America and has held positions with former U.S. Congressman John W. Olver, MassDevelopment Finance Agency, Berkshire Children and Families, the Association of Marian Helpers and former State Representative Christopher Hodgkins. Serre also holds an MBA from the Isenberg School at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. 

She currently serves on the City of Pittsfield’s Resource Recovery Commission and previously served on the Cable Commission and the Human Services Advisory Committee. She has also volunteered with Pittsfield’s Working Cities Initiative, the Massachusetts Economic Development Committee, Berkshire Creative, and the Berkshire Compact for Education. She lives in Pittsfield with her husband Shawn and their two children.
